Praise for this book
"I’ve had the pleasure of reading the entire Brittle Trilogy which spans decades from pre-WWI to post-WWII. If you’ve read the first two books in the series, book three will not disappoint. The entire series takes on Hitchcockian-style elements with climactic plot twists and an innocent man accused. I recommend the entire Trilogy to those who enjoy Historical Fiction. As a WWII buff, I enjoyed the historical threads woven into this work of fiction. I’d love to share my favorite, but it would be a spoiler, and I’d rather readers get the full enjoyment as the story unfolds. The pacing is on target. Believable. I am happy to give it 5 out of 5 stars."
"Simply an excellent read. Transported me to an era I don't give enough thought to. The crossing of paths of the scattered to the winds of the characters and how they all come together is phenomenal. The mental health issues are so apropos if our current times. I will miss the ongoing stories of Maggie, Richard, Ava, Jake, Kim, Fenny and Eric. So I will reread the whole trilogy to enjoy many times over. If I could give 100 stars I would! Thank you Mr. Kane for the excellent saga!"
"Richard Blackmore returns from WWI to discover his home destroyed and his beloved Maggie gone. With few clues to her whereabouts, Richard begins his long search for her. Maggie’s brother Peter lost his wife and his future as a farmer to the 1918 flu pandemic. Peter takes his son Eric to Munich, where he helps fellow soldier Adolf Hitler make Germany great again. In Oklahoma, Maggie makes a new start. While helping the homeless and unemployed, Maggie struggles to retain control of her mind. Her husband, Matthew Turner, sold her cannery in Alaska and relocated to Texas. Matthew fails to convince his former henchman to renew his search for Maggie but discovers one of William Harker’s dark secrets. I enjoyed how Tom Kane expanded his novel to cover the events from the end of WWI to the close of WWII. Richard’s long journey to find his lost love inspired me, and I enjoyed following the next generation of characters he introduced. I hope The Brittle Sky isn’t the last volume in this exciting historical series!"
